OIC Condemns Israeli Cabinet Measures Aimed at Reshaping Occupied Palestinian Territory

The OIC condemned Israel’s approval of new measures aimed at expanding settlements and altering the legal status of occupied Palestinian land, calling the actions war crimes. Palestinian and Jordanian officials warned that the decision seeks to legitimize settlement expansion, while Hamas urged increased resistance in the West Bank.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned the Israeli cabinet’s recent approval of measures aimed at reshaping the occupied Palestinian territory through intensified settlement expansion and altering the legal status of the occupied areas, including al‑Quds.

In a statement released on Monday, the OIC stressed that Israel’s settlement policies amount to war crimes and constitute blatant violations of international law and UN resolutions—particularly Security Council Resolution 2334—and contradict the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice.

The organization renewed its call on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to take immediate action to halt Israel’s ongoing crimes and violations against the Palestinian people, their land, and their holy sites.

The Israeli cabinet recently approved new regulations designed to tighten the regime’s control over the occupied West Bank.

Palestinian officials described the move as “dangerous,” calling it an “open attempt to legitimize settlement expansion” and land seizure.

In response, the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas urged Palestinians in the West Bank to “intensify confrontation with the occupation and its settlers.”

Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned the Israeli decision, saying it seeks to impose “illegal Israeli sovereignty” and further entrench settlement activity.
